Just thought I would let you know what is happening in Community Service in Phoenix.
In January and February the following has been donated: Distributed to:
8 pillowcases Ronald McDonald House
71 stockings
13 lap quilts
12 ouch pouches Cancer Centers of America
18 domestic violence bags Tempe Police
73 military bags Operation Care
6 childrens dress up outfits Crisis Nursery
12 doll diapers Crisis Nursery
30 bean bags Crisis Nursery
From the contest last year I have about 1600 preemie gowns, a portion of the gowns have been distributed to St. Joseph’s (350) and Banner Good Samaritan(600). For future reference it has been requested that the preemie gowns be made using closures of the soft Velcro instead of snaps.
Other preemie needs are bereavement gowns and blankets. Obviously, for the very saddest of situations. Think of dolls between 10 and 18 inches.
