Congratulations to the winners of the quilts donated by the American Sewing Guild at the Quilt and Craft show held September 2-4, 2021 in Scottsdale. 

 

Sue Zenitel is on the left and Christine Flores is on the right in the photos below. From the happy faces it looks like there will be some snuggling, a good book, and a cup of tea in the future for these lucky winners.


Sandi Nissel was the winner of the donated notions basket full of goodies for the sewing room. We hope you'll show us what you've made using your new notions.


The winner of the 1st basket donated by the American Sewing Guild at the Quilt and Craft Show held Jan 31, Feb 1,  2, 2019  was Kathy Smolinski of Lewiston, Idaho. Kathy isn't a current member of ASG, but we included five applications with her basket! Hopefully we will see her application with four of her friends!

Karen Aborne, ASG Phoenix member since 2006, won the 2nd basket that ASG Phoenix put together for the Quilt and Craft Show held on Jan 30th, 31st, and Feb 1st.

This is Donna Riley, Treasurer of the group surprising Karen with her winnings!

 

Karen wanted me to extend to the Phoenix ASG Board her appreciation for all they do to promote Sewing in our lives.

 

Karen has had a booth at the Open Air Market at Phoenix Public Market held on Saturdays.

 

Her specialty sewing is Aprons of all types and designs, and Microwave Bowl Cozies in two sizes!

Karen shares her love for crafting with her husband who has a booth next to hers. He is the gardener and as his booth states, "Someone has to dig in the dirt..." They are there every Saturday at the corner of Pierce and N Central. Her booth is #54, his is # 44.


 

The 3rd Basket basket donated by the American Sewing Guild at the Quilt and Craft Show held Jan 30,31, & Feb 1, was Sylvia Denslow of Glendale. Her business name is "That's Sew Sylvia", and she is on Facebook. Sylvia isn't a current member of ASG, but we included five applications with her basket. Hopefully we will see her application with four of her friends!

 

She said that the people running the ASG booth were very friendly. She said there were so many awesome things in her basket, and she especially likes the button shaped container!


The winner of the serger is Mary Rotert who is an ASG member in WA.

 

Lise Moskop, of Membership PHX Chapter will be catching up with Mary in Surprise. Thank you to Lise for delivering the serger donated by Rita Erickson.


The winner of the American Girl Doll, clothes hanger, and 10 outfits is Denise Bell of Mesa Arizona! These items were presented to her by Judy Sharp, Group Leader Coordinator of the American Sewing Guild-Phoenix.

 

Denise isn't a current member of the American Sewing Guild, but we hope that she will join us soon!
